Home widget & APP icon
Like with duolingo be able to add a vidget to your home screen of the cat: hungry/angry/happy etc. to remind people of logging without app notifications https://www.reddit.com/r/expo/comments/1wu727b/android_home_screen_widgets_coming_in_expo_sdk_58/ Also the app icon could change: https://www.npmjs.com/package/@howincodes/expo-dynamic-app-icon
[idea] Character neo
Neo should have more character and personality, he should live in some room that you can decorate. And for doing actions and achieving goals you get points/gifts for neo Maybe you should also be able to interact with neo (and maybe just message him for any sports related question (like a normal AI assistant)
Drop redundant save success screen
I already saw the summary on the screen before. No need to show me again and have me tap continue. Just show progress stuff while saving and auto disappearing success notification or maybe nothing at all, just close.
Massively wrong food detection
I described food in detail and edit pictures. The AI deduced it wrongly.
Bring Your Own AI Model / API Key
Instead of being limited to the AI model that is built into the app, users should be able to connect their own AI provider, agent, or model and use it for generating or analyzing data inside the app.

Weekly Health Ranking & Points System
I would like to add a Health Ranking and Points System to the food-tracking app. The goal is to motivate users to build healthier and more consistent habits by combining nutrition and activity data into a simple weekly score. Instead of only showing what a user has eaten, the app would track several health-related behaviors and turn them into points. Metrics to Track The system should take into account: Daily steps Protein intake Fat intake Total calorie intake Potentially other health metrics in the future, such as fiber, water intake, exercise, or sleep Points System Users earn points based on how closely they follow their personal health goals. Weekly Ranking At the end of every week, the app creates a weekly health score and ranking. This allows the user to compete primarily against their own previous performance.
Suggest meals
Future upsell feature? If I haven’t hit my goals yet today, suggest me a fitting meal based on location and preferences. For “beginners” that don’t really have go to meals yet.
Daily Nutrition Summary & Instagram Sharing
At the end of each day, the user should be able to generate a clear summary of everything they have eaten and receive feedback on how well their food choices supported their body and personal health goals. The goal is to help users better understand their eating habits without having to interpret all of the nutritional data themselves. Personalized Feedback The app should provide a short personalized assessment explaining how the user's choices supported their body. Instagram Sharing After viewing the daily summary, the user should have the option to create a shareable visual summary for Instagram. The app could automatically generate an attractive card optimized for Instagram Stories or posts.
Macro scanning
Use some sort of barcode scanning for when people take straight pictures of product macro nutriment labels: Expo camera: https://docs.expo.dev/versions/latest/sdk/camera/ Scanning example: https://www.reddit.com/r/expo/comments/1ux6dfh/built_receipt_scanning_in_expo_with_expocamera/ Check native OCRs

Buttons vibration
Other apps have usually this little vibration when clicking a button "vibration & haptics" (when not turned off in the users phone settings). However my app buttons don't do that
Use local first
In order to work well in slow networks & geographies it would be nice to have a local db first architecture and only sync remotely eventually

Inconsistent Mascot System and Character Story
The app currently uses at least three different mascot characters: Neo, the black cat, which appears to be the main mascot A smiling flame A growing plant that develops as the user consumes more protein At the moment, these characters do not appear to have a clear relationship with each other. Because Neo is presented as the main mascot, the additional characters can make the product identity feel inconsistent and fragmente
Inconsistent Footer Menu Icons
The icons used in the footer navigation menu are not consistent with the overall design language of the app or with the other icons used throughout the interface.
Inconsistent Capitalization in German UI
The capitalization in the German version of the app is not implemented consistently. Most buttons currently use lowercase text, while other parts of the interface use a mixture of uppercase and lowercase formatting. This creates an inconsistent visual appearance and makes the German UI feel less polished.
More readable meal posts
The current meal posts are a lot of info and pretty small font. Make it more readable / less crowded? E.g. only show biggers bars by default, swipe to see text details, etc.
